About the Mentorship Program
The Pairing Process
We pair each sophomore selected for our program with a mentor at an investing or financial services firm. They are matched based on personal compatibility and professional interest.

Monthly Meetings
Mentors and mentees meet at least once per month over the duration of the recruiting cycle (October – March). Additionally, ALI hosts 1 in-person social event before and after the recruitment process, serving as a platform for new relationships to be formed organically
Close-Knit Community
While mentorship and mentee relationships are individual, the group is intimate enough for everyone to know all the members of the community. Members should feel comfortable reaching out to anyone they wish.

Educational Material
Members gain access to a shared drive with useful resources for recruiting. Materials include past interview questions, resource guides for investment banking and PE recruiting and investing books that help develop intuition.

Our Motivation

This organization is rooted in the recognition that Asian Americans, despite being a significant and growing demographic in higher education and professional fields, have historically been underrepresented and overlooked in discussions about diversity and inclusion. Asian Americans often lack dedicated support networks that address the unique challenges they face, both socially and professionally. Our mission is to fill this gap by fostering a strong community where Asian American college students can find mentorship, guidance, and a sense of belonging as they navigate careers in finance and investing. Through AFF, we aim to break down barriers, create opportunities for connection, and ensure that Asian Americans are not only included but also empowered to lead in industries where they have been historically underrepresented.
